A Time Capsule of 2024

2024 was a year filled with incredible highs, deeply personal breakthroughs, and moments that stretched me in ways I didn’t see coming. I want to honor it all—the wins, the struggles, and the beautiful lessons in between. Here’s my little time capsule of a year that shaped me.
The year started with purpose. I kicked off 2024 working as an energy healer at retreats, stepping deeper into my calling. These spaces felt sacred and aligned with who I am. But as the months unfolded, I realized that following a dream isn’t just about passion—it’s about resilience, too. I received intuitive nudges to complete my Reiki Level 3 training, find a studio space, and build something truly my own. It was exhilarating and overwhelming all at once.
After finding the perfect space, I poured my heart into renovating it, turning it into a sanctuary for healing and connection. But the process was far from easy. Learning how to run a business was a steep learning curve. Crafting social media content and marketing my services was often a challenge—not because I lacked ideas, but because the words didn’t flow naturally. I would stumble through it, trying to make it look effortless, but it always felt like I was overthinking every sentence.
This year, I leaned into relationships—both with others and with myself. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with someone special. It was a beautiful surprise to realize how easily I could say “I love you” and mean it with my whole heart. I gave myself permission to ask for what I desire, learned to express my feelings, and deepened my connection with my intuition. I also saw my shadows emerge in a relationship, which taught me what it means to truly love unconditionally. These lessons weren’t always easy, but they were worth every tear and triumph.
Parenting presented its own set of challenges. I’ve been raising my last high schooler while learning to nurture my relationships with my adult children. Sending my son off to university was a proud moment, but it was also bittersweet. Balancing the demands of being a mom, a business owner, and a woman on her own journey felt like juggling a hundred spinning plates.
This year also brought a lesson I wasn’t expecting but deeply needed: learning to let go. Some relationships serve us beautifully for a season, but as we grow and evolve, we may find ourselves no longer in alignment. Letting go can feel heartbreaking, but I’ve learned it’s a necessary step to honor my personal journey, trust myself, and stay in integrity with who I am becoming. It’s not easy, but I’ve come to see that making space for the right connections sometimes means releasing the ones that no longer resonate.
One of the most vulnerable moments of my year was recording my first podcast. For the first time, I opened up publicly about my divorce—a part of my life I don’t often share. It was nerve-wracking but also cathartic. It reminded me of the power in being seen fully, even in the parts of our stories that feel messy or uncomfortable.
Finalizing the divorce was a beautiful and freeing moment—an opportunity to honor the past for all it taught me while wholeheartedly embracing the future with lightness, clarity, and the joy of stepping into a new chapter unburdened and full of possibility.
Professionally, I collaborated on energy classes, hosted my own workshops, and co-created a sound healing and Reiki event. I launched my website and opened my studio doors, meeting incredible community members who made this journey so meaningful. Along the way, I found my soul sisters—those rare, heart-aligned connections that make life so much richer.
Travel brought me so much joy this year. I visited Toronto, Phoenix, Mexico, and stood under the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower in France. I basked in the sun at the beach, shared patio time with friends, and celebrated milestones like my birthday and hosting a graduation party for my son.
As the holidays approached, I chose to close my studio for a reset. Replenishing my energy has been an act of love—for myself, my family, and my vision for the future. The holidays have been filled with connection and joy, and I’ve even found time to dream up big ideas for 2025.
There were hiccups, no doubt—moments where I doubted myself, felt overwhelmed, or struggled to find balance. But those moments taught me so much about who I am and who I’m becoming. They pushed me to grow, to rest when needed, and to trust that every step forward brings new opportunities. I’ve noticed that the more I expand and embrace who I truly am, the more life responds with abundance.
I’m grateful for the lessons, the love, and the growth. Grateful for the moments that broke me open and the ones that filled me with joy. Life isn’t always easy, but it’s those challenges that make the sweet moments even sweeter.
Here’s to carrying these lessons into 2025 with an open heart, a full spirit, and the unwavering belief that the best is yet to come. Because, truly, it is. ✨
